Privacy policy

SpellBank is a word game for iPhone and Android, made by Comparative Imaging, Inc. ("we"). This policy explains what happens to information when you play. The short version: we don't collect any data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking, we run no servers for the game, and nothing you do in it is sent to us.
What stays on your device
- Your settings (language, sounds, haptics, turn timer), the display name you choose for multiplayer, your best scores and daily-challenge results, and whether you've bought the unlock.
- These are saved only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
Playing with other people
- When you host or join a game, your phone connects directly to the other players' phones over your local Wi-Fi network or, between phones of the same kind, over Bluetooth and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi ("Nearby").
- What's exchanged is your display name, a random identifier made fresh each time the app starts, and the moves of the game. It goes only to the phones in that game, is never sent to us or anyone else, and isn't kept after the game.
- That's why the app asks for Local Network access (iPhone) or Nearby devices access (Android). On Android 8 to 12, Android also requires location permission to find nearby phones; SpellBank never reads your location.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment and your payment details under their own privacy policies; we never receive them. The app only asks the store whether the unlock is owned.
Children
SpellBank is a general-audience game and isn't directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. If SpellBank ever starts collecting data, we'll say so here and in the app stores' privacy labels first.

Lo que se queda en tu dispositivo
Tus ajustes, tu nombre para jugar con otros, tus mejores puntuaciones y si compraste el desbloqueo se guardan solo en tu teléfono.
Jugar con otras personas
En una partida con otros, tu teléfono se conecta directamente con los de los demás jugadores por tu red Wi-Fi local o por Bluetooth. Solo se envían tu nombre, un identificador aleatorio y las jugadas, únicamente a los teléfonos de esa partida. Por eso la app pide acceso a la red local o a dispositivos cercanos. SpellBank nunca lee tu ubicación.
Compras
El desbloqueo lo venden Apple o Google, que gestionan el pago; nunca recibimos tus datos de pago.
Niños
SpellBank no está dirigido a menores de 13 años y no recopila información personal de nadie.
