Common questions

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.

How do I move my recipes to a new phone or share them with family?

Tap Share on a recipe, or ••• › Share All Recipes, and choose Send Recipe or Send Cookbook. This makes a .sfrecipes file you can send by AirDrop, Messages, Mail or Files. Tap the file on the other device to import it. Recipes you already have aren't duplicated.

My recipes aren't on my other device

Recipes are kept on each device and don't sync on their own yet. Send a cookbook file from one device to the other, as above.

A scan came out wrong

Scan in good light with the card flat and filling the frame. On the review screen you can fix any line before saving. If the handwriting is hard to read, tap Not right? Try Again with Claude. That uses one Claude read, or your own Anthropic key if you've added one in Settings. Words Claude can't make out are marked [?].

Add from Web didn't find the recipe

Most recipe sites include a recipe card the app can read directly. If a page doesn't, the app tries to pick out the recipe from the text, so check it before saving.

Why can't I edit the Source & Credit?

When a recipe comes from a cookbook or website, its credit is locked so the original author always travels with it. Everything else in the recipe can still be edited.

I hit the 10-recipe limit

The free version keeps up to 10 recipes. A one-time purchase in Settings unlocks unlimited recipes. Nothing you've already added is lost.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google Play from your order history.
